Luke Kelly-Clyne
President, HSE
Luke Kelly-Clyne has been involved with Hopkins Student Enterprises (HSE) since the spring of 2007, when he began working as a consultant for Hopkins Technology Commercialization Agency (HTCA). Since then, Luke has served as HSE's VP of New Business Development (starting Hopkins Students Creative Services and Hopkins Delivery Enterprises with former President, Sameer Bhalla). He is currently serving as HSE President. A political science major at Hopkins, Luke hopes to go on to receive a JD/MBA and to pursue one or both of two personal entrepreneurial ventures.
Lily Seidel
VP of Marketing and Client Acquisition, HSE
Lily Seidel came on to HSE's team during the fall of 2008 as the VP of Marketing and Client Acquisition. Lily has been instrumental in creating a steady flow of business for Hopkins Student Creative Services (HSCS). An economic major at Johns Hopkins, Lily plans to work in consulting.
Grant Silow
VP of New Business Development, HSE
Grant Silow is HSE’s Vice President of New Business Development as of the fall of 2009. An International Studies major with a minor in Entrepreneurship and Management, Grant will work with the managers of each business to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Additionally, he will work closely with the President and all potential entrepreneurs on developing new enterprises in their early stages.
Kieran Gupta
Manager, HTCA
Kieran Gupta is currently a junior double majoring in Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering. He is also pursuing a minor in Entrepreneurship and Management. Kieran has worked with HTCA since 2008 as a Technology Analyst. As Enterprise Manager, Kieran aims to strengthen HTCA's core competencies and help diversify its clients and services. Kieran has experience studying high-tech business ideas through his participation in a Wharton Business School program at the University of Pennsylvania. He has worked as a software engineer at Northrop Grumman Corporation and the JHU Applied Physics Lab. In addition to HTCA, Kieran is co-leading a multidisciplinary engineering team project to build a Space Elevator and compete in a NASA-sponsored competition.
Laura Veldhuis
Manager, HDE
Laura Veldhuis is a sophomore junior, Materials Science and Engineering Major with a Minor in Entrepreneurship and Management. Last year, she was a Business Opportunity Analyst for the New Ventures Group, the Research and Development branch of HSE that worked on creating business plans and implementing new businesses on the Homewood Campus. She enjoys adventures, The Economist and occasionally sleeping.
Kristina Madarang
Manager, HSCS
Dedicated to her position at HSE, Kristina's imperative is to always match clients with the staff best suited to their needs. Her involvement with Alpha Kappa Psi business fraternity has cultivated her interest in and knowledge of the workings of entrepreneurship. Kristina is a junior political science and French language major with post-graduation plans to attend law school.
Brandon Simms
Manager, HSS
Brandon (Manager, HSS) is a Civil Engineering major. He has been involved with Hopkins Student Enterprise since 2007, when he began working with Hopkins Student Storage as a student mover. This past semester, he has taken on the role as Manager. He plans to go into Construction Management post graduation and he hopes to pursue employment with Whiting-Turner Contracting Company.
