HERBAL/WELLNESS CONSULTATIONS
Optimize your wellness…
Wellness is more than not being ill…
The World Health Organization defines health as “a state of complete physical, mental, and social wellbeing and not merely the absence of disease and infirmity.”
Eat well, live well, feel well…learn well.
Do you feel chronically stressed, have difficulty relaxing, get frequent colds or digestive upset, or just want to create a healthier lifestyle while you’re at college?
If so, consider coming in for an herbal consultation. Herbs and nutritional support can help you with stress, mood, and sleep quality. They can also improve your immune function, digestion, and metabolism. They can address food sensitivities, appetite, and weight management. Such changes can relieve symptoms and lead to more energy and vitality, allowing you to engage more fully in life and the healing process.
Why herbs?
Herbs are natural healing agents that have been used for thousands of years – they help to maintain and support the body’s remarkable power to heal itself. The practice of herbal medicine focuses on supporting wellness rather than “fighting disease”. Herbal and nutritional therapies improve health by enhancing tissue function, enabling the body to be more adaptive to physical and psychological stressors. Also, the self-care nature of herbalism can provide you with the tools to better understand and care for your body.
Appointments will be available to review lifestyle factors such as diet and exercise, discuss your health concerns and explore ways for you to achieve optimum wellness using herbs and nutritional recommendations. We will work together to find the best approach for incorporating herbs into your lifestyle. Herbs can be custom formulated and taken as liquid extracts, teas, powders, or in capsules.
