What To Do in a Medical Emergency?
If you encounter a medical emergency when the clinic is closed, call 911or the Homewood Security Office at 410-516-7777 to request an ambulance. Either is correct, but Security can assist the Baltimore City Fire Department with finding your campus location.

Reminders:
If you go to the emergency room, make sure you bring your insurance card. Also,
make sure that you understand the diagnosis you are given and whether or not you
need follow-up care. If you are discharged with medications, there are several local
pharmacies where you may fill your prescriptions.

What To Do if You Have an Urgent, Non-Life Threatening Medical Problem?
If you have an urgent, but non-life threatening medical concern or health problem that cannot wait until the next time the Center is open, the Student Health & Wellness Center contracts with CareNet, a nationally accredited on-call service. You can reach them directly at 1-866-523-4725, or, you can call the Security Office and ask for the CareNet phone number. The CareNet staff will ask you for your Hopkins ID number. Please have it available when you call.
There is also an urgent care facility within driving distance of the JHU campus.
