According to the JHU Library, the Black and Blue Jay started in November of 1920. Quite often actually, the editors of the Black and Blue Jay would run into serious problems with members of the administration, and the man even managed to shut it down.
Starting in 1984 (Post-Big Brother), the Black and Blue Jay was revived, but was published only sporadically until a hero picked up its pieces. That hero's name was Scott Rogowsky. Starting in 2006, Scott worked tirelessly to ensure that every issue was out on time in an almost monthly fashion. If you wish to see Scott now, just visit the Big Apple and he can usually be seen bummin' for change on the corner of 34th and Lexington. Ever since, The Black and Blue Jay wishes to continue this tradition to release an issue every month.
